"Toutes à l'école"

Situated in an agricultural region 13 km from Phom Penh the "Happy Chandra" school welcomes 307 girls aged 6-10. Most of the girls helped their parents work in the fields and rarely attended the local public school.
At the "Happy Chandra" school, the girls follow an excellent program taught in Khmer and English which includes an initiation in the French language as well as artistic activities. The students are guided throughout, towards the job positions which are useful for their country and in sectors in  which women are under represented.
